We love Front Bar. It’s the latest edition to the bar, restaurant and music scene on Gozo and well worth a visit.

Located a stones throw away from the waters edge on Xlendi Bay, tucked down a side street you’ll find FRONT BAR. A new hip and trendy bar restaurant with a whole heap of events to keep you entertained throughout the year. Word on the street is their food is divine so GITH Magazine headed on down to see for ourselves and we were not disappointed.

Their extensive bar menu includes fine wines, beers and cocktails, and the latter are served in the deeply diverse way that can only be described as perfect. Sip a Sipsmith’s Gin in a crystal glass with a passion fruit garnish or devour a long cold beer whilst you decide what to eat.

FRONT’s menu is exciting, innovative and forever changing. At the helm is Shaamilla, a chef that is clearly passionate and knows exactly what her customers want. Serving up an exquisite brunch style breakfast through to tapas, platters and fresh fish in the evening there really isn’t a bad time to visit. We chose to put a spotlight on the good old burger, and believe us, there was nothing more delicious.

What we love about the ‘Build Your Own Burger’ option at FRONT BAR is the choices you have and there are so many, you just simply have to return to try out the one that you didn’t have that time! The meat is grass-fed beef and they also offer tasty vegan and vegetarian options and cater for gluten free.

The buns are homemade and are the perfect fluffy vessel for your burger. We chose to sample the famous Beyond Burger, halloumi and mushroom and classic beef. It’s not just the buns that are homemade FRONT have their own range of tasty sauces to elevate your meal further. How will you stack yours?

The Beyond Burger is made from a variety of plant proteins and healthy fats and most definitely ‘looks, cooks and satisfies’ like meat as promised. The texture and taste is extraordinary…try it for yourself!
