Where is it?
Earth Day Green Fair will be held at the entrance of one of Malta’s most beautiful nature parks, Il-Majjistral Nature & History Park. It is located 5 minutes’ walk from the Golden Bay bus station, in the Northwest of Malta. It was declared a national park by the Government of Malta in September 2007. The park commands magnificent views and visitors can walk along kilometres of trails that will take you through a myriad of habitats, including many endemic species of flora and fauna spread all over the place. The Veg Box at the Farmoury, located in the same area, is a social enterprise promoting organic pesticide-free locally grown produce by local farmers. Its mission is to provide healthy local produce to the consumer by bridging the gap that has grown over the last 40 years between farmers of the land and consumers of the food. Their hub is also a centre for refurbishing old furniture and a second-hand shop for clothes, books and accessories.
