What is earth day green fair?
Earth Day Green Fair brings together a number of social enterprises, NGOs, artists, coaches and artisans to create a one-of-a-kind community-driven and family-friendly Fair in Malta. It’s a community event bringing together music, art, food, wellness, green innovations, social enterprises, sustainable businesses and more.
Earth Day Green Fair is an occasion to celebrate International Earth Day which falls on the 22nd of April and is now in its 53rd year. Today, Earth Day is the largest secular holiday in the world, with more than 500 million people taking part in 174 countries around the planet.
Where is it?
Earth Day Green Fair will be held at the entrance of one of Malta’s most beautiful nature parks, Il-Majjistral Nature & History Park. It is located 5 minutes’ walk from the Golden Bay bus station, in the Northwest of Malta. It was declared a national park by the Government of Malta in September 2007. The park commands magnificent views and visitors can walk along kilometres of trails that will take you through a myriad of habitats, including many endemic species of flora and fauna spread all over the place. The Veg Box at the Farmoury, located in the same area, is a social enterprise promoting organic pesticide-free locally grown produce by local farmers. Its mission is to provide healthy local produce to the consumer by bridging the gap that has grown over the last 40 years between farmers of the land and consumers of the food. Their hub is also a centre for refurbishing old furniture and a second-hand shop for clothes, books and accessories.

We are passionate about creating an environment that’s fun for everyone; visitors of all ages learn how their actions impact our local environment and the significant role we play in the health of our economy and ecosystem.
We’re inspiring and challenging citizens to find alternatives to everyday products, food, transportation and living so a better earth can be created because, as we all know, our environment is a direct reflection of how we live. Plan on starting early for a fun-filled day at Earth Day Green Fair.
