The Artisan Village Ta’ Dbieġi is located in Għarb. Once having served as soldiers’ quarters for the British military service, it now houses Gozo’s finest artisans offering hand-made products, workshops, and private sessions. Open daily and spread over 6,500 sqm of lush gardens it boasts high-quality craftsmanship it offers a unique opportunity to observe the artisans at work. Booking to visit the Village is not necessary. However, if you are interested in joining a workshop as a group or on a one-to-one basis, booking in advance is a must.
The Ta’ Dbieġi Cafeteria offers breakfast, lunch, and appetizing snacks as well as coffee, refreshing drinks or a glass of wine.
Directions by car: From Mgarr Harbour, follow the main road to Victoria and then, you take the road to San Lawrenz (and Dwejra/Azure Window). The Village can be found on the outskirts of this Village on the West side of the Island. The Artisan Village Ta’ Dbieġi offers ample parking space free of charge just outside the Village itself.
Directions by public transport: From Mgarr Harbour catch the 301 bus (approx. every 45 minutes after the arrival of the Gozo Channel Ferry) to Victoria. Then from Victoria take the 311 bus (approx. every hour and 20 minutes) to San Lawrenz and stop at The Artisan Village Ta’ Dbieġi stop, just before entering the village of St. Lawrenz.
