We are blessed with some wonderful foodie havens on the island, and some are not as obvious as you think. It’s hard to keep up with what’s on the menu a lot of the time, so we have done the hard work for you. Check out these new dishes in Gozo and book your table pronto.
New Dishes In Gozo

Al Sale urges you to tuck into this plate of seafood goodness with friends. And why wouldn’t you? Oysters, Fresh Tartare, Prawns, Octopus, and more adorn this pretty platter from this popular local Gozo restaurant.
Crudi Heaven for €29.
Trishna might be a new Gozo restaurant, but it is already a firm favourite. Come rain or shine this swish Indian serves delicious authentic food at lunch and dinner. Try the Chicken Biryani with Basmati Rice. Chicken cooked on the bone with a mouth-popping blend of Indian spices and saffron. Price: €13


Mouthwatering appetizers at one80 are a-plenty but when we tasted this little mouthful of joy, our jaws were on the floor. Fresh fish tartar on toasted ciabatta with lilliput capers and seaweed textures. Oh my! All the flavours! Price: €9.
Ferdie’s in Mgarr boasts a welcoming, fresh and tasy menu with all the vibes of a home-cooked meal. Try their ever-popular Calamari Fritti. It’s a dish you will find many places in Gozo but here, it might be the best you have ever had. €10.50


Vini e Capricci is a popular hotspot for all things food and drink in Gozo. Dining there is a treat, but this dish is even more so. Agnello sul Mattone. Lamb Rump served Blue on Hot Lava Stone (to be cooked by you, the way you wish served with Mint Jus, Couscous & Seasonal Vegetables. €30.00
We know Country Terrace offers high-grade ingredients and present an encore of desserts too. If you are lucky you may get to try this mini Baked Alaska. A pocket rocket dessert from a much loved Gozo restaurant. And it comes with a drizzle of Sambucca. What’s not to love?


This is the Crudo Misto from Arzella, the popular Gozo restaurant in Marsalforn. It’s a three-tier tower to share between 2 prepared with the freshest of ingredients and lots of love. Tuck into fresh fish Carpaccio, Gillardeau Oysters, Giant Langoustines, and local king prawns for €28pp.
The choice is endless at Ta Tona, but one of our absolute favourite dishes is their Platter of Crudi. Graze on a tray of Fresh Local Prawns, mouthwatering Local Tuna Carpaccio, and Gillardeau Oysters. This is a must when visiting Gozo.


We love grazing on Tapas in Gozo at Front. There are plenty of dishes to choose from but this baby Mac and Cheese packs a mighty tasty punch and is all the comfort food you will ever need. It’s full of flavour and crunchy in all the right places and at €4.95 – doesn’t brake the foodie bank. Yum!
Tmun maybe tucked away in the corner of Mgarr but as the film Dirty Dancing proclaims “nobody puts Baby in the corner!’ Tmun has in fact one of the most unique corners of Gozo and that goes for the menu too. Try their BBQ Octopus. €12 of deliciousness.


This homemade Ravioli is a secret recipe passed on from the owner of D Bars’ mum. Made with local fresh cheese and more, it is one of the most favoured dishes on this popular village restaurant’s menu. Sample this through the winter months for €11.50 (small and €14.90 (large).
Maldonado is arguably Gozo’s best culinary secret. Tucked away on the cobbled streets of Victoria, their innovative, home-grown menu is always a delight. Check out their seasonal fare and watch out for this beauty. Potato Gnocchi, Nettle and Almond cream with Sage,
