Gozo is an all-year-round destination and enjoys the warmest holiday weather round the clock in Europe. Outdoor swimming is possible well into the low season – but when the sun is not shining (it does on average for 3,000+ hours a year!), the best thing to do is to seek out one of the restaurants in Gozo and graze the afternoon away.
We all head for the coast when the sun is out. We want fresh air, a warm breeze, and to dine with the ocean lapping the shore. So what about the restaurants in Gozo that don’t offer that per se? It’s time to put the spotlight on them.
We have compiled a list of our favourite restaurants to seek shelter in, and we know, without doubt, you will feel the same. This ain’t no paid promotion folks – these places fit the bill AND, the food is that good – you will definitely want to return, even when it’s sunny!

Your hosts at Fliegu will make you feel right at home in their restaurant with its unique vista overlooking the ‘Fliegu’ across Comino and Malta.
Opt for the pizzas! They bake their own dough and cook in their own wood-fired oven. The chef is Sicilian so expect the best!

The View stands up to its name with a poignant spectacle over Zebbug and the setting sun – and even if it’s raining, the layout allows the view all year round. Opt for the Kickin’ Chicken with Chicken, mango chutney, grapes, walnuts and tomato salad.
Chef Bryan and his wife Victoria who works the Front of House are a great couple and team with exactly the right attitude and aptitude when it comes to running a restaurant. The food is a vibrant delight, and the little touches are never unnoticed. Opt for the Seafood Linguine while you soak up the piazza’s atmosphere.
Vini e Capricci by Abrahams is by far one of the leading restaurants on the island. Their offerings range from the A La Carte Restaurant to Gourmet Deli and Coffee Shop. Book a table to eat ahead of time as they get booked up early. We know you will not be disappointed.
Trishna is set in lush surroundings on the main road into Victoria, Republic Street. This wonderful Indian restaurant serves authentic cuisine and a thrilling menu full of your favourite Indian dishes plus more to educate, and delight. We love this place and so will you.
