We’ve always raved about the menu at Country Terrace, but now we’ve gone off menu, and we didn’t regret it.
Country Terrace does classics to perfection, and we wouldn’t have it any other way, but they also shock and excite with their varied and well-thought-out specials menu. It’s always changing, developing, and bringing new things to the kitchen, and whilst you’re there, it would be a disservice to yourself not to check out what’s on offer that week!

Dive into Freshness with Fishy Starters
Picture this: you’re seated on the sun-drenched terrace, a gentle breeze on your face as you dive into a plate of Tuna Tartare or Salmon Carpaccio. You can tell it’s made with the freshest catch, as each bite is like a mini-vacation for your mouth, straight into the beautiful blue sea water. Trust us, you won’t find anything fresher this side of the Mediterranean!
Accompanied by ponzu sauce, and fresh vegetables, the starters for sure set the standard of their special menu, and they didn’t disappoint with how to start the meal off in style.
Indulge in Pasta Dishes from Heaven
The specials menu also didn’t disappoint with its pasta offerings, and we’re sure never does. From classic flavour combinations to new and exciting ideas, there were plenty of options on the specials menu at Country Terrace, as always.
If luxury had a flavour, it would be the Truffle Ravioli we tried. Imagine velvety ravioli stuffed with dreamy black truffle, served with truffle shavings and a shiitake mushroom sauce, and topped with pecorino cheese. It’s indulgence served on a plate, and trust us, you won’t be able to get enough once you start sampling their pasta dishes.
Getting Wild with Kangaroo Steak
Here’s where we got truly adventurous. Country Terrace always has a great range of meat dishes on their specials menu, and they take high-quality products and turn them into fantastic all-around dishes. So, when we saw Kangaroo Steak on the menu, we knew they would make it into something special – by the wildest thing on the specials menu, this is not for the faint hearted!
Tender, succulent, and packing a flavour punch that’ll make your taste buds sing, was a delight from start to finish. Something we never thought we’d find in Gozo, and it brought us a taste of Down Under from right here on the rock.

With views that’ll take your breath away and a staff that feels like family (because they are), every meal here is a celebration of good food and great company. And we couldn’t forget about the wine too… Their wine list is ginormous, with options from all over the world, and fantastic local options too, like the Ta Mena bottle we had to accompany our food!
