Duo Chasing Pandora aka vocalist Melissa Portelli and guitarist Keith Anthony return after 14 years as a trio together with keyboard whizz Ismael Azzopardi blending heartfelt, introspective lyrics with mellow, melodic arrangements. They first gained attention with their 2007 hit single Feel the Rain, which topped the Maltese charts, and their debut album Mocking the Mockingbird further established their popularity. Known for songs filled with emotional depth, their style has been compared to artists like Tori Amos for its sincerity and delicate instrumentation.
After a hiatus, the band reunited in 2023, much to the delight of fans. Chasing Pandora’s new album, The Weight of It All offers a tender and introspective journey through the complexities of parenthood, adulthood, and the quiet moments that shape a lifetime. With songs that reflect on relationships, the ebb and flow of denial and acceptance, and a deep appreciation for life’s simplest joys, this collection captures the essence of human experience. The new album is out on the 5th of October on digital platforms and there is an option to pre-order the digital album with the addition of some extra music on Indiegogo. A physical release and lots of merch will be available by the end of November from the same place.
