1. Tartufo Bianco L’Alba Dinner (Vini e Capricci by Abraham’s)
Venue: Vini E Capricci by Abrahams, Gozitano Complex, Xewkija Date: 2nd of December - 7:30pm Cost: €125 per person
Do you love truffle as much as we do here at GITH? If so, you won’t want to miss a night of decadence and deliciousness. This spectacular dinner from Vini e Capricci will have an 8-course tasting menu in an ‘ode to tartufo bianco’, and each dish will be thoughtfully paired with wines that were made close to where the truffles were harvested! This will certainly not be a night to be missed, and a night to remember for those foodies seeking a special one!
2. Fresh Finds Gozo Mercato – Christmas Edition
Venue: Citadel Ditch, Citadella, Victoria Date: 9-10th of December, 10am-4pm Cost: FREE
The Christmas edition of our newest artisan market…FRESH FINDS Gozo Mercato! A celebration of local makers and designers, and their high quality and unique handmade products. This two-day market, taking place in the beautiful scenery of the ditch in the Citadel, supports local artists and lets them share with the local community. This event is perfect for all the family, and will feature handmade crafts, artisan food, artists, and local produce, which you can read all about on their Instagram, and is environmentally friendly too! We can’t wait to see what beautiful finds are there, and the perfect spot for Christmas shopping and getting in the spirit!
3. Aladdin: The Rock N’ Roll Panto
Venue: Teatru Astra, Victoria Date: 26th of December - 15:00, 27th of December - 18:30, 28th of December - 15:00, 29th of December - 18:30, 30th of December - 18:30 Cost: Starting from €29
Get ready for this year’s rock and roll pantomime at Teatru Astra. This superb family show is set to fill your pantomime cravings, featuring music hits from today and yesterday, and incorporating everything you would expect from a classic pantomime: dames, evil villains and a whole lot of silliness! You only have 5 to join Aladdin and his gang, a sure-to-be, fun for all the family, right in the centre of Victoria, so make sure to book your tickets in advance for a post-Christmas jolly to be enjoyed by all.
4. Santa’s Workshop
Venue: Ta’ Dbieġi Artisan Village, Gharb Date: 9th of December - 10am-5pm Cost: FREE, with optional extra activities which need to be booked here, and workshops at a cost which can be booked here.
Don’t miss the opportunity to meet Santa this Christmas at Ta’ Dbieġi Artisan Village! This day of Christmas cheer is organised by the Malta Crafts Foundation, and has fun for all the family, all day long. There will be FREE train rides, which are on a first come first serve basis and can be booked here. Artisans from the village will welcome you to their workshops, and you’ll be able to buy local products created right there in the heart of Gharb, just in time for Christmas. There’s even a treasure hunt and of course, the opportunity to take a photo with Santa. With a whole host of activities to try out and take part in, and this event is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit, whilst supporting local and spending time with your loved ones.
5. Gozo Christmas Parade
Venue: Republic Street, Victoria Date: 23rd of December - 8pm Cost: FREE
Experience Gozo’s annual Christmas parade and join over 250 children to celebrate a festive display of colourful floats, music and holiday cheer. This traditional parade highlights the joy of the Christmas period in Gozo and brings together people from all over our wonderful little island to celebrate the magic of Christmas together! Don’t miss out on the joy this event brings to the capital of Gozo.
